Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (Maha-Metro or MMRCL) invited tenders (bids) to appoint a General Consultant (GC) for the 29 km Thane Metro project.

Thane Metro’s Package Consul-01 is the second significant contract, after Detailed Design Consultant contract DDC-01 (won by STUP), for this new mass transit system which is officially known as Thane Integral Ring Metro Project.

The appointment of a dedicated General Consultant will help to pave the way for Thane Metro’s speedy implementation through assistance in design, supervision, safety, quality control and contract management.

Maha-Metro posted a basic tender notice for its contract. Tender documents will be available to download only after 4 pm on November 15.
