Hospitality and Healthcare  -  Nov 14,2023  -

The Karnataka government intends to draw in investments totaling Rs 40,000 crore to establish a Knowledge, Healthcare, Innovation, and Research (KHIR) City on the outskirts of Bengaluru.

The project's ambitious goal is to establish Karnataka as a worldwide hub for innovation, healthcare, and information. Universities, research centres, hospitals, and businesses will all coexist in the KHIR City, forming a distinctive ecosystem that fosters cooperation and the exchange of ideas and expertise.

It is anticipated to create job opportunities and support the state's economic expansion. To finance this significant undertaking, the government is actively looking for investors.

A new investment region spanning over 2,000 acres and located within 60km of Bengaluru is set to be developed in phases.

The city is being planned to attract investment from leading global and domestic hospitals, research institutions, universities, and private companies.

The development is expected to create around 80,000 jobs.
