Kanoria Chemicals & Industries (KCI) has inaugurated two new manufacturing plants at its GIDC Ankleshwar site in Gujarat.
The company launched a hexamine facility with a capacity of 18 tpd, doubling its total hexamine production to 36 tpd.
Additionally, KCI opened a new formaldehyde plant with a 345 tpd capacity, which will boost its total formaldehyde output to 763 tpd. The hexamine plant utilises indigenous and environmentally-responsible technology, while the formaldehyde facility employs metal oxide-based mechanism.
The expansion would help meet the growing demand in sectors including pharmaceuticals, rubber, textiles, and agrochemicals, allowing it to serve both domestic and international markets. The company cited the state government’s supportive policies as key for realisation of the project.
