JSW Neo Energy Limited secures award for 300 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Projects

Power Generation  -  Jul 01,2024  -

JSW Neo Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy, has been awarded a contract for 300 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Projects.

The letter of award was granted by SJVN Limited as part of a tariff-based competitive bid for the development of 1,500 MW ISTS-connected Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Projects (Hybrid-2).

SJVN Ltd. had invited companies to set up 1,500 MW interstate transmission system connected wind-solar hybrid power projects via tariff- based competitive bidding. This increases JSW Energy's total locked-in capacity to 13.9 GW, a statement said.

"The company expects to have an installed generation capacity of 9.8 GW by 2024, up from 7.3 GW currently."

The company also has 3.4 gigawatt-hours of locked-in energy storage capacity from battery energy storage systems and hydro pumped storage projects.
