A team of IGGL led by CEO, Dr Ajit Kumar Thakur and COO, Pankaj Patowary met Lalduhoma, Chief Minister of Mizoram to apprise him about the current construction status of the ongoing 127km long Panisagar - Aizawl natural gas pipeline being implemented by IGGL as a part of the North East Gas Grid Project.

The Chief Minister, Mizoram assured all his support for the timely completion of the Panisagar - Aizawl section of the gas pipeline project which will open up tremendous opportunities for accelerated industrial growth in the state.

Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL), a JV of five major petroleum PSUs viz. IOCL, ONGCL, GAIL, OIL & NRL is implementing the North East Gas Grid Project connecting the state capitals, major cities and the demand centres of the eight North Eastern States at an estimated cost of Rs 9265 crore.

The North East Gas Grid will be connected to the National Gas Grid to ensure supply of natural gas to all the north eastern states. As on date the project has achieved a physical progress of 81%.
