Heritage foods to spend Rs 204 crore in setting up new ice cream facility

The Board of Heritage Foods at its meeting has approved the proposal for setting up a new ice cream manufacturing facility at Shamirpet, Telangana.

The new facility is intended to cater to the growing demand for ice cream in the region and expand its production capacity to better serve our consumers. The facility is expected to be commissioned by November, 2025 and will involve a capital investment of approximately Rs.204 crore.

"We wish to inform you that the Board of Directors of our Company, at its meeting held on 18th September 2024, has approved the proposal for setting up a new ice cream manufacturing facility at Shamirpet, Telangana," according to a stock exchange filing.

The facility aims to meet the increasing demand for ice cream in the region while boosting production capacity. The project is scheduled to be operational by November 2025, with financing sourced through debt and internal accruals.

"The new facility is intended to cater to the growing demand for ice cream in the region and expand our production capacity to better serve our consumers. The facility is expected to be commissioned by November 2025 and will involve a capital investment of approximately Rs 204 crore (Rupees Two Hundred and Four crore only)," it said.

Heritage Foods is engaged in the business of milk and dairy products, renewable energy, and cattle feed. In the dairy division. The company is also in the business of milk, milk products, ice cream, and frozen desserts.
