Exide Industries' lithium-ion cell project phase-I to be completed by FY25
Manufacturing - Jul 31,2024 -Exide Industries is on track to complete construction of the first phase of its lithium-ion cell manufacturing project in Bengaluru by the end of FY25.
The 12 GWh lithium-ion plant would be constructed in two phases of six GWh each, as announced at the company’s annual general meeting.
Exide had embarked on the journey to set up the facility in 2021.
Responding to shareholder queries at the company’s annual general meeting, Avik Roy, managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) said that the 12 gigawatt hours (GWh) lithium-ion plant would be constructed in two phases of 6 GWh each.
