DCM Nouvelle's subsidiary completes commissioning of chemical plant in Ujjain, MP

DCM Nouvelle's subsidiary DCM Nouvelle Specialty Chemicals (DCMSCL) has commenced its commercial production for the products Benzylamine (BA) and Dibenzylamine (DBA) from 01 March, 2024. The company completed the commissioning of the chemical plant situated at DMIC Vikram Udyogpuri, Plot No. 91, 92, 93, Industrial Township DMIC Vikram Udyogpuri, Village Narvar in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.

The new manufacturing facility of DCMSCL has the capacity to produce upto 11,800 MT annually, and is expected to cater to the rising demand for the company's new products. The company incurred a total of approx. Rs 85 crore for completing this first phase of the specialty chemical project.

For Phase-I of the commercial production, DCMSCL has identified Benzylamine (BA) and Dibenzylamine (DBA) under aromatic amines, and alkyl amines such as Cyclohexylamine (CHA) and Di Cyclohexylamine (DCHA). Product development for these products is already completed and ready for the commercial production in the batch process model.

The research and development lab dedicated to these products is already established, and development process for these products has also commenced.
