The board of Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries has given its approval in principle for the establishment of a greenfield sugar plant in Uttar Pradesh with a capacity of up to 8000 TCD cane crush, 20MW Cogen, and 60KLPD distillery.

The plant will be built in phases in accordance with the area's cane development activities.

The Board has approved a capital outlay of Rs 350 crore for the first phase of the 4000 TCD cane crushing capacity with 10 MW Cogen, which is scheduled to begin operations on SS 26–27.

This money will be paid in part through internal accruals and in part through borrowing. The current capacity are 38450 TCD for sugar, 710 KLPD for distillery, and 126 MW for cogen. 100% of the same are used.

The Board of Directors of the Company has, at its meeting held on November 06, 2023, accorded its in-principal approval for the same.
