Manufacturing  -  May 22,2024  -

Dalmia Bharat Limited (DBL) has announced the installation of a new cement mill at its existing facility in Ariyalur, Tamil Nadu.

This addition boosts the company's capacity by 1 million tons, bringing its total installed capacity, including subsidiaries, to 45.6 million tons.

The Rs 204 crore investment in this brownfield expansion is aimed at strengthening DBL's market presence in the South and meeting the increasing demand for cement in the region.

This expansion is part of DBL's long-term strategy to increase its total installed capacity to 110-130 million tons by 2031.

"We continue to focus on strategic capital expenditure, maximizing the region's growth prospects, and further enhancing our market position in the South. Driven by robust infrastructure development, housing, and investments, we anticipate cement demand to rise. This increased capacity will facilitate the growing demand in the Southern region," said Puneet Dalmia, Managing Director & CEO of Dalmia Bharat Limited.

Dalmia Bharat has a strong presence in Tamil Nadu, operating two integrated cement manufacturing plants in Dalmiapuram and Ariyalur, and a grinding unit in Sattur. The company contributes significantly to the Bharatmala infrastructure initiative in the South, supporting the development of transportation networks.
