Central Mine Planning & Design Institute has floated a tender for commissioning of a solar power plant of capacity 70 MW at WCL site, in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh.

The scope of work covers the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, installation, testing and commissioning of grid connected ground mounted SPP of capacity 70 MW (AC) with minimum 40 percentage DC overload capacity at Kanhan Area, WCL. It includes all civil, structural, and electrical works and all other accessories and facilities required to make it complete in all respects including power evacuation and connectivity approvals.

The construction of the plant including testing and commissioning is to be completed in 18 months, and has a comprehensive O&M for ten years. The bid submission due date is 16 August, 2024.
