In order to build and commission a coal handling plant in the Karo OCP, Bokaro & Kargali area of Bokaro, Jharkhand, The Central Coalfields has issued an invitation for bids.

The coal handling facility (7.0 Mty) with silo loading arrangement construction, fabrication, erection, installation, testing, trial run, and commissioning will be completed on a turnkey basis.

The facility would need to be operated and maintained (O&M) for five years after it is completed, at an estimated cost of Rs 239.32 crore.

The deadline for submission of bids is August 24, 2023.
