Bids invited to set up ash coal-to-ammonium nitrate plant in Odisha

Projects & Development India (PDIL) has issued an invitation for bids to construct a syngas purification plant as part of a high ash coal to ammonium nitrate project in the Lakhanpur area of Mahanadi Coalfields, Jharsuguda district, Odisha. 

The project will be executed on a lump-sum turnkey (LSTK) basis.

The selected LSTK contractor will be responsible for providing the process license, basic design, detailed engineering, procurement, supply, fabrication, route survey, transportation of all equipment and materials to the work site, storage, construction, and erection of all civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works.

Additionally, the contractor will handle assembly and installation, obtain all necessary statutory approvals, and carry out testing, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, sustained load test runs, and performance guarantee test runs. The deadline for bid submission is August 26, 2024.

The contractor’s responsibilities also include providing 120 months of operations and maintenance (O&M) services, comprehensive project management, and the handover of the syngas purification plant and its associated facilities.
