Ather Energy planning to construct new manufacturing plant to expand capacity

Manufacturing  -  Oct 09,2023  -

Ather Energy, a maker of electric two-wheelers, plans to expand its production capacities with the installation of a new manufacturing facility, according to a report in Hindu Businessline.

According to Ravneet Phokela, Chief Business Officer of Ather Energy, while the location of the new facility is still being considered, it will most likely be located outside of the state of Tamil Nadu, where the company's current plant is located.

According to the publication, once both plants are operating, Ather Energy would be able to manufacture 420,000 units each year. Along with the new manufacturing facility, the company is creating new products in order to gain a larger market share in India.

In addition to domestic expansion, Ather Energy is exploring opportunities for global outreach. Despite its considerable footprint in India's electric two-wheeler market, the company is expected to make its international debut shortly, according to the Hindu Businessline report.
