Apraava Energy, an integrated energy solutions provider in India, announced today that it has secured a power purchase agreement (PPA) with NTPC for a 300 MW interstate transmission system (ISTS) connected solar power project.
The project, to be set up in Rajasthan, is Apraava Energy’s largest solar project to date. It is scheduled for completion within 24 months.
Apraava secured the project by quoting a winning tariff of INR 2.65/kWh in NTPC’s auction for setting up 1.5 GW of ISTS-connected solar PV projects anywhere in India.
NTPC has signed a power purchase agreement with Apraava Energy for a period of 25 years from the scheduled commencement of supply date.
As part of the agreement, Apraava Energy will develop the project on a build-own-operate basis.
This project further strengthens Apraava’s presence in Rajasthan, following its maiden 250 MW greenfield solar project secured from NHPC.
Apart from these two solar assets, Rajasthan is also home to Apraava’s three existing wind projects with a combined capacity of 253.6 MW and three under-construction transmission projects.
