Alstom to enter into signalling component making in India

French multinational company Alstom is looking to manufacture 15 percent of its signalling component from India over the next three years.

The company will undertake the design and partner with companies for manufacturing of these components, at its facility in Hyderabad, Telangana.

The company aims to expand the workforce to 500-550 employees by the end of this year, and ramp  up to 700 count over the next three years. Alstom has launched its largest centre of excellence in Bengaluru, particularly focused on signalling technologies and system integration for global rail mobility projects.

The firm is currently working on 19 projects in India including phase-2 of National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), along with 62 global projects.
