Adani Group's greenfield copper facility to commence operations from March

The $1.1 billion greenfield copper facility being built by the Adani Group in Mundra, Gujarat, will begin operations in March 2024 and serve as the group's entrée into the sector.

A greenfield refinery project with a 1 million tonne annual capacity is Kutch Copper.

The project's goal is to manufacture copper cathodes and rods as well as byproducts including gold, silver, nickel, and selenium. It will be finished in two parts.

Sulphuric acid, a crucial component in fertilisers, detergents, medicines, paper and sugar bleaching, water treatment, and other industries, will also be produced at the integrated complex, according to the business.

Copper is an essential component for infrastructure development, electrical equipment production, power transmission and the renewable energy sector.
