The Yamuna Motorway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has given its approval to the bid document for the pod taxi project, which seeks to use small, autonomous automobiles that travel along a specially constructed guideway to link Sector-21 Film City and the Jewar airport site.
According to the report, the updated detailed project report (DPR) was also authorised.
Officials with knowledge of the matter said that after the state government accepts the updated DPR and bid document, construction on the pod taxi network will begin.
To discuss the technical details of this project, YEIDA representatives met with the Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation Limited (IPRRC), a central government organisation.
The project’s construction company will be chosen using the amended DPR and bid document, which were finalised after the meeting.
