Yanmar Engine Manufacturing India Pvt. Ltd. (YEMI) has announced the start of production at its new state-of-the-art industrial engine manufacturing factory in Tamilnadu, India.
The new factory will produce 80,000 units of industrial engines in the 15kW to 37kW class each year, with a capacity of 160,000 units envisaged. India, a significant agricultural country, as well as Europe, the United States, Asia, and other high-demand regions, will receive the engines.
The plant will first build engines for Yanmar brand tractors made by International Tractors Ltd (a Yanmar joint venture business) as well as other agricultural and construction industry OEMs.
