Videotex International, a consumer electronics contract maker, announced plans to invest over Rs 100 crore over the next two years to build a new LED TV manufacturing plant in Greater Noida with a production capacity of 1.8 million units per year.
In addition, Videotex stated in a statement that it will spend to improve its existing capacity in Greater Noida to 1.4 million TVs, bringing the overall manufacturing capacity to 3.2 million TVs per year.
Videotex, which makes TVs for brands including Realme, Hisense, Toshiba, Lloyd, Hyundai, and over 15 others, said the investment will create new employment in production, back office, and other areas.
