The Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, will have a new terminal building.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI), which is responsible for the development of the new integrated terminal building, estimates that it would cost roughly $91 million (Rs7.07bn).
The terminal, which will cover 40,837m2, will be able to handle 1,200 people during peak hours and about four million passengers each year.
The new structure is a structural steel-framed structure with a shell-shaped form.
