Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw visited the Modern Rail Coach Factory in Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh, and announced that production of Vande Bharat coaches would begin there the next year.
General Manager S. S. Kalsi gave Vaishnaw a tour of the manufacturing facility and provided information on the manufacturing processes used to create various types of coaches.
The minister lauded the factory’s manufacturing processes, designs, and coaches after officially launching the AC economy coaches.
Large-scale production of Vande Bharat coaches will begin in April. According to him, the factory will be crucial to fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goals and advancing the railways.
Vaishnaw stated that the facility would eventually supply coaches to European nations.
