UP’s Bundelkhand Expressway to be inaugurated in second week of June

According to Durgesh Upadhyay, media adviser to the Uttar Pradesh Expressway Development Authority, the Bundelkhand Expressway would be launched in the second week of June this year.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath proposed the 296-kilometer road in April 2017, only months after taking power for the first time. In February 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lay the foundation stone for the expressway’s development.

The highway runs through the districts of Chitrakoot, Banda, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jalaun, and Auraiya in Uttar Pradesh’s Bundelkhand region.

The expressway runs from Bharatkoop in the Chitrakoot district on National Highway 35, popularly known as the Varanasi-Banda route, to Kudrail village in the Etawah district on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway.
