UPL and Clean Max team up for New Renewable Energy Project in Gujarat

A hybrid solar-wind energy power plant will be built in Gujarat, India, by UPL Ltd., a global provider of sustainable agriculture solutions, in partnership with CleanMaxEnviro Energy Solutions (CleanMax), a renewable energy firm with headquarters in Mumbai. A hybrid captive power plant with a capacity of 33 MW of wind power and 28.05 MW of solar electricity will be built and run by UPL and CleanMax.

This project will enable UPL to expand its renewable energy usage to 30% of its entire worldwide power consumption by combining two of the renewable energy technologies that are developing the quickest (against eight percent currently). Wind solar hybrid power plants are very efficient because to their complimentary nature, offering a dependable and continuous power supply that aids in efficiently managing electricity loads.

Ensuring we have access to reliable, clean energy will help realise that vision as we significantly reduce our carbon footprint. We look forward to welcoming CleanMax to our OpenAg network through this partnership and are excited to be joining India’s green energy wave”.
