The Uttar Pradesh government has approved Rs 486 crore for the acquisition of land and construction of a 30-kilometer road connecting the Noida airport to the Delhi-Mumbai expressway in Ballabhgarh, Haryana.
Only about 8.5 kilometres of the 30-kilometer road are in Uttar Pradesh, with the rest in Haryana. The state government of Uttar Pradesh has approved funding to buy approximately 90 hectares for the road, construct an interchange near the Yamuna Expressway, and shoulder half of the cost of construction.
The expense of the road in Haryana will be borne by the Centre.
The monies will be channelled through the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), which will then pass them on to the district administration for land acquisition.
