UP cabinet gives nod for Chilla Elevated Road

A much-needed boost to a project that was conceived ten years ago to clear the Delhi-Noida route of congestion came with the UP cabinet’s approval of the Rs 801 crore budget for the Chilla Elevated Road.

Once completed, the 5.96km length will be a continuous route, avoiding all merging traffic from Noida’s sectors 14A, 14, 15, 15A, 16, and 18. It will run from Mayur Vihar in Delhi to the Noida-Greater Noida Motorway close to the Mahamaya Flyover.

Its six lanes will likely ensure that office-goers and other commuters, who frequently get stuck in traffic jams to and from Noida Gate during rush hours, can cross the city borders within minutes.
