Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal introduced the revised model concession agreement 2021 for public-private partnership projects at key ports, stating that 31 projects worth over Rs 14,600 crore will be granted between 2024 and 2025.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, the sector now has over 80 public-private partnership (PPP) projects at various phases with a total investment of over Rs 56,000 crore.
According to the statement, 53 projects worth Rs 40,000 crore are currently operational, while 27 projects worth more than Rs 16,000 crore are in the planning stages.
