Union government and Aramco to decide on location fro refinery and Petrochemical complex in Maharashtra

The Union government and Aramco will decide on the location for the Refinery and Petrochemical Complex (RPC) in Maharashtra, according to Maharashtra Industries Minister Subhash Desai, and a commission will shortly visit the state to determine the site.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has proposed that the RPC be established in Vidarbha, as the project, which was previously planned in Ratnagiri, was blocked for a variety of reasons.

Nagpur, according to Gadkari, is a good place for establishing the project owing to its geographic advantages. According to Desai, the state government would give the project with land and other supplies. Aramco is the project’s investor, while the government of Saudi Arabia is the promoter.
