The implementation of Kochi Metro Rail Phase II from JLN Stadium to Infopark via Kakkanad has received approval from the Union Cabinet.
The second phase will cover 11.17 kilometres with 11 stops and cost 1,957.05 crore.
Anurag Thakur, the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, made the announcement during a meeting of the Union Cabinet presided over by Prime Minister NarendraModi.
According to a formal statement, “The preliminary works for Phase-II, including road widening of Seaport Airport Road, are developing well.”
