Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray laid the foundation stone for a medical college and hospital in Aligab, Raigad district.
In Usar Village, a 100-seat college and a 500-bed hospital would be built at a cost of Rs 450 crore.
The medical college, which has 76 students, has been operating from a makeshift campus on RCF land since this year.
Thackeray announced the establishment of a Trauma Care Centre in Wadkhal and stated that his government was dedicated to upgrading the state’s health infrastructure.
