At Bandra and Khar stations, the Western Railway (WR) has opened two new foot-over bridges (FOBs).
“A new FOB has been commissioned at Bandra station on south side connecting all the platforms – PF 1 to 7. The new FOB is 80 metres long and its width is 10 metres. This new FOB has been constructed at a cost of Rs 7 crore. Similarly, a new FOB has been commissioned at Khar Road station at a cost of Rs 8 crore. This FOB is 6 metres wide and 110 metres long with a skywalk with staircases (Khar-south). Both these new FOBs have been opened for bonafide passengers,” Western Railway spokesperson Sumit Thakur said.
The two new FOBs bring the total number of FOBs commissioned in the Mumbai suburban portion of WR to five in 2021-22.
