Tamilnadu government has floated tenders to prepare a feasibility report for its ambitious proposal to construct a 11km elevated corridor between Light House and Guindy in Chennai.
The proposal was a key promise of the DMK before assuming power.
The state highways department has sanctioned 45 lakh to rope in a consultant to prepare a detailed feasibility report for the infra project, Tamilnadu highways minister EV Velu said on Sunday.
The successful bidder will get six months to complete the work, which includes conducting topographic survey , geo-technical investigations, sub-soil exploration, traffic analysis and an alignment study.
