TN Chief Minister inaugurates SPIC’s captive solar power plant

At Tuticorin, a captive floating solar power plant constructed up by the agri-nutrient and fertilisers company Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd, better known as SPIC Ltd, started live.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin officially opened the facility, which is said to be the country’s first and largest floating power plant.

AM International Holdings Ltd, Singapore, built a state-of-the-art 25.3 megawatts DC/22 megawatts AC floating solar power plant as part of its efforts to optimise energy output in industrial facilities on a long-term basis.
