Tinplate Company of India Limited (TCIL), a division of Tata Steel, hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for its expansion project. Jharkhand’s Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, attended the event as the chief guest and presided over the groundbreaking ceremony. After turning 100 years old in 2020, TCIL started its new journey towards sustainability and expansion. Its capacity is 4,15,000 TPA at the moment. By investing roughly Rs 2000 crore in the first phase of the expansion project, 3,00,000 TPA in extra capacity will be guaranteed, bringing the overall capacity to 7,15,000 TPA by the year 2026. |
