For the development of its electrolysis facility in Padana, India, Kutch Chemical has bought complementary gear from thyssenkrupp nucera.
The additional capacity will cause the plant’s output to more than triple.
The plant manufacturer thyssenkrupp nucera will supply the machinery for the expansion of the electrolysis facility for Kutch Chemical Industries.
Five electrolysers at the present facility, which has been in operation since 2020, employ the BM Single Element technology, which is exclusive to thyssenkrupp nucera.
With this expansion, the daily capacity of NaOH will more than treble to 670 metric tonnes (100 percent).
The contract’s projected value is in the low double-digit million-euro range, and the project is scheduled to be completed and placed into operation in 2023.
