The three heliports that are being developed and will be given to private players in Uttar Pradesh’s tourism cities.
The government has decided to lease the land in Prayagraj, Mathura, and Agra to private organisations or investors after basic civil work to build the heliports was finished there.
Although the Public Works Department was initially tasked with building and commissioning the heliports, due to a sluggish execution schedule and rising costs, the cabinet decided on April 19 to move on with operations of the heliports under the public-private partnership model.
“The heliports in Agra and Mathura are almost complete and majority of the external and internal development works have been completed. The one in Prayagraj will also be ready soon,” said a senior PWD officer.
