Thiruvananthapuram ring road project gathers speed

Due to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways’ recent 3A notification, the land acquisition process for the projected Outer Ring Road (ORR) project surrounding Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala’s capital and a coastal city famous for the Sri PadmanabhaSwamy Temple, is anticipated to pick up speed.

According to a gazette notice published by the government, the process of demarcating the land with stones may shortly get started.

“The process to acquire the land has already begun. As part of land acquisition, which will commence the next week, we will begin placing stones. If there are any objections, we will consider them and find a solution. Service roads would be built alongside the ORR, according to P Pradeep, project director at NHAI.
