Tenders floated to accelerate work on Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area

The town planning council is creating the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA), a well-planned city encompassing 371 sq km around Navi Mumbai’s airport, in order to prevent the area’s unplanned growth and to ensure planned infrastructure and contemporary facilities.

The development of the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) project has attracted bids totaling Rs. 1,216 crore from the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), the city’s planning authority.

The corporation expects to begin construction on them soon in order to expedite the stalled NAINA project. The development of the region is planned under the Town Planning Scheme (TPS), which consists of a total of 12 planning schemes.

The tenders released by the authority are for work related to construction of roads, footpaths, drains – proposed for TPS-2 to TPS-7, and the development works are expected to commence soon.
