Telangana seeks Centre’s approval for Phase – II of Hyderabad Metro Rail Project

For phase-II of the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project, the Telangana government has requested approval from the Center.

The phase-II of the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project from BHEL to Lakdikapul has been sought by KT Rama Rao, Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD), Telangana.

The Government of Telangana State (GoTS) and the Government of India (GoI) would jointly own the project, which would be undertaken at an estimated cost of $8,453 crore and receive outside financial support. There are plans for a 26 km long, 23 station new metro line.
