The Metro Corridor from Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar will be developed through a public-private partnership (PPP) between TRIL Urban Transport, a Tata Group enterprise, and Siemens Project Ventures, a subsidiary of Siemens Financial Services.

Hinjewadi Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park and Shivajinagar are connected by an elevated Metro line that runs via Balewadi. The 23.3-kilometer track, which will have 23 stations, will be India’s first Metro project under the New Metro Rail Policy.
