Tata Power CEO and MD PraveerSinha stated that the company’s solar cell and module facility in Tamil Nadu will be operational by the end of this year.
Tata Power signed an agreement with the Tamil Nadu government in July 2022 to invest 3,000 crore in the state’s Tirunelveli district to establish a new facility to manufacture solar cells and modules.
Construction is currently in full swing. The unit’s setup equipment has already been ordered. Sinha told PTI that the goal is to have the plant operational by the end of this year.
He made the remarks in response to a question about the project’s timeline.
