Tata Power Renewables set up 100 MW Solar PV Projects in UP

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power, announced the commissioning of two 50 MW solar power plants in Uttar Pradesh, Prayagraj and Banda. Despite COVID issues, TPREL completed the projects within the agreed-upon timelines. The factories are planned to produce 221.26 million units per year.

The project in Prayagraj used approximately 1,59,600 modules, and the installation is estimated to save 91,137 lakh tonnes of CO2 per year. The project required the installation of 16 inverters, 103.25 kilometres of DC wire, and 4,87,080 man hours to ensure a seamless implementation.

Similarly, 1,67,440 modules were deployed across 236 acres of land at Banda, with 16 inverters putting in 3,35,000 man hours.
