A power purchase agreement (PPA) for a 510 MW hybrid project has been inked by Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL) and Tata Power Delhi Distribution (TPDDL).
The businesses told the exchanges on March 13 that the project would use 340 MW of wind power and 170 MW of solar power.
It will be among the biggest projects of its kind in India and will probably save TPDDL 1,540 MUs of CO2 year on average. The project is located in Karnataka. An earlier letter of agreement (LOA) for 255 MW that TPREL acquired from TPDDL in December 2022 is being extended by this project. Within 24 months after the PPA’s execution date, it will be put into operation.
