Tamil Nadu to establish high tech manufacturing facility to invite global investment

A Center for Manufacturing will be established by the Tamil Nadu government in collaboration with the World Economic Forum. Before the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Summit in January 2024, the centre should be up and running.

ThangamThennarasu, the state’s minister of industries, made this claim in the Assembly. He stated that the Advanced Manufacturing Value Chain (AMVC) platform of the Forum will be run by “Guidance,” Tamil Nadu’s key organisation for investment promotion and single window facilitation.

Thennarasu provided details in the Assembly, stating that the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) will invest Rs 100 crore in the construction of a 250-acre strategic electronics and defence industrial park at Karani in the Thiruvallur district, creating jobs for about 3,000 people.
