Supreme Petrochem to increase Polystyrene manufacturing capacity

Supreme Petrochem Limited (SPL) has received approval from the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) to enhance the production of expandable polystyrene and polystyrene at its plant in Raigad, Maharashtra.

The company’s capacity to produce polystyrene will rise from the current 2,20,000 MTA to 3,00,000 MTA, and its capacity to produce expandable polystyrene will rise from the current 50,000 MTA to 85,000 MTA.

At its plant in Manali New Town, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, the company has finished the commissioning trials and renovation programme for its expandable polystyrene production facility, increasing capacity from the previous 24000 TPA to 33000 TPA.
