Sterlite Technologies, a broadband technology business, announced that it has received a multi-year order for roughly Rs 170 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India to construct a unified network management system.
Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has already received optical fibre cables from the company and has created a communication network, according to the corporation (PGCIL).
“We are excited to partner with PGCIL to develop a custom UNMS (universal network management system) for controlling their large-scale utility networks.
For their inter-regional networks, we will provide a consolidated infrastructure with centralised controls,” said the company.
