Rishikeshbhai Patel, a minister and the government of Gujarat’s spokesperson, announced that 60 percent of the AIIMS Rajkot’s building work has been finished.
He remarked that when Gujarat becomes operational, the nation’s health services will gain fresh vigour. He stated that the first AIIMS in Gujarat, Rajkot, will have all of its construction done by October 2023.
The minister stated that AIIMS will be a “milestone” in the state’s healthcare system and added that around 1,58,879 sq. m. from the 91,950 sq. m. The area’s construction is done.
In addition to emergency, trauma, AYUSH, and ICU capabilities, the institution will also contain 15 to 20 superspecialist departments, a medical and nursing college, a hostel, and living quarters.
The minister added that AIIMS-Rajkot was announced in the budget of the year 2017-18. The ground breaking was performed at the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
