Shirdi Sai Electricals Limited (SSEL) has inked a contract with Viridis.iQ GmbH, a German engineering services firm, to build a 4,000-megawatt solar project.
Under the production linked incentive plan (PLI) proposed by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, state-owned IREDA issued a letter of intent to SSEL on November 11 for the establishment of 4,000 MW manufacturing capabilities for high-efficiency solar PV modules (MNRE).
SSEL announced that it had “struck a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Viridis.iQ GmbH for help in setting up the 4 gigawatts (GW) or 4,000 megawatts (MW) production unit for Polysilicon + Ingot-Wafer + Cell + Module.”
