SS Blowchem is a chemical manufacturing company that is planning to expand its production capabilities by setting up a new manufacturing unit in the RIICO Industrial area in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan. The project will involve the production of hydrazine hydrate and azodicarbonamide, with a total capacity of 2800 TPA. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.107.128 million, and the construction work is expected to start in March 2023 and end in March 2025. The first step in the project is to obtain environmental clearance from the Ministry of Environment and Forests. As of March 2023, the company has submitted the proposal with its Terms of Reference (ToR) to the ministry. Once the company receives the first stage of clearance, it will prepare and submit a detailed project report for final clearance. The clearance from the state pollution control board will also be required before the project can commence. The company will have to comply with all the rules and regulations set forth by the board to ensure that the project does not have any negative impact on the environment.
