South Western Railway floats tender for construction of new broad gauge railway line

 

For the building of a new wide gauge railroad line in the state of Karnataka, South Western Railway has issued an invitation for bids.

The range of the task entails In the Shivamogga-Shikaripura-Ranebennur New Line Project on EPC mode in the South Western Railway Zone, new broad gauge railway line construction between ch 8.020 and ch 48.000 will also include railway electrification, signal & telecommunication works, and general electrical services between Koteganguru (excluding) and Shikaripura (including) stations.

The project is expected to cost Rs 517.73 crore and would take 30 months to complete.
